If so, nice to meet you! Mitsubishi Chemical Polyester Films Division is seeking a, is seeking a Research & Developer and Marketing Technical Service to join a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement and driving sustainable business results.   Come be a part of this dynamic team!!

What You Will Do...

  • Working in a team-based environment, this position will be responsible for the following:
    o Development of new PET-based film products for various markets, customers and technical 
    applications from concept through full manufacturing commercialization. This includes 
    identification of key product attributes and properties critical for functional performance; 
    specification development (Customer and internal); pilot line and/or manufacturing trial 
    planning, coordination, and coverage; quality testing development; establishing process 
    capability; and commercialization / turn-over to Manufacturing.
    o Product design changes for existing commercial products that do not meet functional needs or 
    quality of specific customer applications. This may include customer visits and interaction as 
    well as corresponding specification revision. 
    o Direct interaction with Sales and Marketing and Customers in identification of new products and 
    business growth opportunities in new markets and applications. 
    o Routine interaction, cooperation, and work with Sales and Marketing, Quality and 
    Manufacturing.

 

What You Will Have...

o BS plus MS or PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or related 
field required.
o 5+ years’ experience in film coatings and/or plastic extrusion and products or related field.
o Knowledge of chemistry as related to PET-based resin, film, coatings along with resulting 
characteristics and behaviors a plus.
o Knowledge of chemical surface treatments applied to film substrates to enhance functional 
performance a plus.
o Awareness or knowledge of product applications using film substrates a plus.
o Awareness or knowledge of quality characteristics of film substrates a plus.
o Good communication, personal interaction skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented 
environment is a must.
o Some travel required.
o Working a flexible schedule when running manufacturing trials is required

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
  • The salary range for this position is $110,000- $120,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
