ACCOUNTANT
The Accountant is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial data to the business. Responsibilities include performing daily and monthly accounting activities related to fixed assets, leases, inventory, and other general accounting areas. Also responsible for various other accounting tasks and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries associated with depreciation, disposals, acquisitions, transfers, lease amortizations, inventory, and other general accounting categories.
- Prepare roll-forwards, balance sheet reconciliations, and other reporting as needed related to fixed assets, leases, inventory, and other general accounting categories.
- Manage capital projects throughout their lifecycle including obtaining proper documentation for all requests, obtaining approvals, tracking spend, monitoring closeouts, recording and tagging assets, calculating depreciation, and recording disposals.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage construction in progress balances for capital projects.
- Maintain fixed asset general ledger for book and tax, ensuring alignment.
- Perform periodic physical inventory of fixed assets.
- Prepare capital spending and budget reports as needed.
- Maintain lease schedules in compliance with both IFRS and US GAAP principles.
- Assist in the preparation of annual capital spend budget.
- Assist with monthly inventory related tasks including reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Assist with various tax tasks, including compiling data for annual property tax returns.
- Support internal and external audits as related to fixed assets, leases, and other general accounting categories as needed.
- Assist with annual physical inventory at various sites including offsite locations.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting as required.
- Identify manual processes for automation to improve efficiency.
- Identify areas of risk for areas within job scope to ensure proper internal controls are in place and functioning.
- Comply with all applicable customer and ISO/TS16949 requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Training
- Education: BA/BS in accounting.
- Experience: 1-3 years experience or related internship(s).
- Strong Organizational, Verbal and Written skills.
- SAP experience (preferred).
- Strong Excel skills

- Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
- Professional, well-groomed appearance and attire.
- Ability to sit/ stand for extended periods of time at adjustable desk and work on a computer.
- The starting salary range for this position is $52,000 to $65,000 a year. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
