The Transload Coordinator will verify and ensure proper equipment within the rail yard is utilized for the transferring of materials from railcar to bulk tanker.
- Prepare equipment for product transfer.
- Guage and record weight of incoming trucks/ trailers.
- Ensure proper inspection and sampling, if required, of materials in railcars.
- Direct carrier to proper railcar and compartment for unloading. Ensure all hoses are properly connected and secure.
- Ensure that Carrier is following Mytex loading and unloading procedures. Obtain weight of empty material and hopper cars.
- Return empty railcars.
- Visually inspect each compartment of the railcar to ensure all material has been emptied
- Ensure all valves and hatches have been closed and cars are prepared for RTS.
- Preform safe and efficient transfer of productions from railcars, tank trailers, etc.
- Perform general inspection and monitoring of related equipment. Report equipment abnormalities or failures to supervisor.
- Manage inventory in rail yard.
- Ensure safe and proper handling, documentation, and security of goods during transfer process.
- Comply with PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements and dress code.
- Complete all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and with federal, state, and local regulations.
- May require after hours & weekend support.
- Maintain a helpful and friendly working relationship with fellow employees.
- Comply with all applicable customer and ISO/TS16949 requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Prefer experience in manufacturing setting.
- Strong multi-tasking and phone skills.
- Strong Organizational, Verbal and Written skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to self-manage deadlines.
- Requires valid driver’s license.
- Ability to professionally and efficiently correspond with supervisor via phone and email.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team, take director, and follow work rules.
- Ability to interact in a personable, professional and courteous manner to all.
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects and deadlines in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Maintenance of Mytex information in a confidential manner.
- Must learn and adhere to rail yard policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and stoop.
- Requires the ability to use hands and fingers to manage tools and controls.
- Requires the ability to reach repetitively with arms/ hands.
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 55lbs from floor to waist height. Ability to push or pull up to 120lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and preform task at heights grater than 6 feet.
- Requires ability to perceive color, see at both close and at a distance, peripheral vision.
- Professional, well-groomed appearance and attire is advised.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Option to stand with adjustable sit/stand desk.
- This position involves working in both an office environment and in an outdoor environment within a railyard.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- The salary range for this position is $19 - $21 per hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
