Setup and operate all Extrusion machinery within department in conformance with company quality and safety standards. Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, monitoring and optimizing efficiency, maintaining machines and performing quality checks.

- Safety: Comply with MCAM’s safety and health regulations.
- Reporting and Documenting: Observing, receiving and documenting from all relevant sources within each of Extrusion work centers for the purpose of all production and process activities (e.g. M3 reporting, SOPs, and Exhibits).
- Setup and Startup: Prepare, initiate, and execute per the SOP and schedule. Set up machinery for operation, start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance, Troubleshoot issues, perform quality checks, following reporting and recordkeeping procedures while reporting problems to shift lead or supervisor.
- Monitor Processes, Actions and Events: Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, equipment, events or the environment in order to detect or assess problems.
- Controlling Equipment and Process: Using controlled mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate or maintain machines or process adhering to all appropriate SOPs, Control Plans or JSAs. This includes inspecting all product and use of all tools required to control specified requirements and improve product quality.
- Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards: Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with departmental Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Control Plans, customer specifications and ISO guidelines.
- Shutdown, Housekeeping and General Maintenance: Prepare, initiate and execute per the SOP equipment shutdown activities in cooperation with setup operator.
- Management Discretion: Perform any tasks or activities assigned by management, e.g. assisting in training of new employees.
Additional Responsibilities
- Operation of forklift or powered hand trucks
- Operator level preventive maintenance tasks
- Ensure all products produced meet all quality/acceptability criteria.
- Maintain all work area to a high level of cleanliness.
- Minimum 1 year experience in plastics processing or a related field

- The salary range for this position is $22 - $24. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
