Job Purpose

Provide day-to-day support on the Molding department for execution of jobs in a timely manner. Continue to promote KAITEKI values creating and maintaining a positive work environment, which is conducive to a stable, growing and continually improving workforce. Ensure a safe workplace, efficient production processes, minimization of downtime, as well as a clean and orderly production area.



Principal Accountabilities
  • Responsible for plastic injection molding processing.
  • Assist with mold changes and maintenance as directed.
  • Have a working knowledge of injection molding machines related auxiliary equipment (dryers, oil heaters, water heaters, etc.).
  • Responsible for the set up and operation of injection molding machines.
  • Report molding issues to production supervisor.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace, efficient production processes, minimization of downtime, as well as a clean and orderly production area.
  • Monitor daily running jobs for adherence to quality standards.
  • Work closely with other team members to drive a lean manufacturing process.
  • Work in a team environment to solve and improve process issues.
  • Any other duties or tasks which may be assigned

Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude.
  • The ideal candidate is a motivated team player, with the ability to take on multiple tasks.
  • Must be flexible and be a strong team player.
  • Must be willing to learn a variety of machine type set-ups and troubleshooting.
  • Expected to have exceptional attendance and be on time.
  • Responsible for filling out required paperwork and follow detailed instructions.
  • Drive safety practices within the organization
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001 background a plus.
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts, if required.
