Support plant processes by conducting and interpreting analyses of routine and non-routine process control samples to ensure the production of consistent-quality ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer. Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation is in good functional order. Conduct special analytical projects to improve plant processes and environmental performance.

1. Conduct analyses of routine and non-routine process control samples per controlled procedures, interpret analysis results to assess their validity, repot validated results and make recommendations regarding process adjustments to Operations.
2. Operate, maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation - including method development - and develop overall expertise in all laboratory instruments.
3. Properly maintain laboratory with regard to housekeeping and sample disposal.
4. Maintain detailed shift notes and laboratory documents to provide a reliable history of events and issues affecting plant processes and laboratory functions.
5. Participate in processes and initiatives to continually improve the Safety performance of the organization.

Two or more years of either applicable lab experience or relevant college coursework. Physically capable of working within a process control laboratory environment. Work a typical 24-hour rotating shift schedule.

• The salary range for this position is $36.84/hr - $36.84/hr. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
