Located in Memphis, Tennessee, It is a fully integrated company for Sol-Rite™ formulated electrolytes, which are used for lithium-ion batteries. Special formulations are designed to meet customer needs and optimize the battery performance. The Sol-Rite™ electrolyte formulation mainly consists of organic solvents such as ethylene carbonate and lithium salt electrolytes such as LiPF6. Patented technologies and know-how are incorporated into the formulations to control the solid electrolyte interface on cathode and anode.

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to work in a fast moving and rapidly growing manufacturing environment. Able to perform a wide variety of tasks with strict attention to the smallest details.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet production and customer requirements
  • Provide detailed status of material availability, inventory and communicate constraints to schedule
  • Prepare production orders for the production of product based on master production schedule, customer forecast and inventory levels
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with production, laboratory, quality, andlogistics companies.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of product by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
  • Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas
  • Monitor and maintain raw material stock to support production
  • Control the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing
  • Schedule delivery of raw material from storage warehouse or loaded storage facilities.
  • Coordinate the return of empty reusable raw material container to manufactures.
  • Track Import and Export of raw material and finished product.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, documents and spreadsheets.
  • Enter Production Orders and material consumption in SAP system.
  • Process scrap, samples and out of spec inventory from SAP as required.
  • Prepare for, conduct and assist in reconciliation of inventory counts
  • Interface with Logistics companies, Customs Brokers, DOT, Transportations companies, and a wide variety of Vendors.
  • Interaction with all departments and management will be required
  • Complete any other duties assigned
  • Must possess good organizational skills, strong computer skills, the ability to work well with others, strong decision making skills, and the ability to negotiate in the best interest of the company
  • Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, logistics procedures, and 40 CFR, IMDG, IATA rules and regulations.
  • Excellent Oral and written communication, ability to effectively present to senior management
  • Must be PC proficient including Microsoft, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and under time constraints
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments via, air, ground and ocean vessels.
  • Will be responsible for the proper documentation, loading, securing, placarding, and shipping of a variety of Hazardous Materials
  • Research and develop unique and different ways to overcome shipping challenges that could effect on time delivery of material or product
  • High School or equivalent diploma; Associates degree preferred preferably in Engineering or Manufacturing
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience as a shipping coordinator preferably in a chemical plant
