Job Purpose

Mitsubishi Polyester Film Division is seeking a, is seeking a Packing & Warehouse Engineer to join a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement and driving sustainable business results. Come be a part of this dynamic team!!

Principal Accountabilities
  • Develops and maintains packaging configurations, specifications and drawings.
  • Procedure development for operations.
  • Provide daily technical and operational support to the Packing & Warehouse areas to ensure continual improvements in safety, process, quality and productivity.
  • Works closely with internal departments and teams to include Customer Service, Films, Sales and Marketing and Quality Assurance.
  • Facilitate capital projects and works with Project Engineering in area project implementation.
  • Follows up on and investigates claims and gives feedback to Quality Assurance and Sales.
  • Support weekly cycle counts and yearly physical inventory.
  • Support knowledge and skill development of operation personnel.
  • Interact with vendors and customers as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with safety procedures, OSHA, DHEC and SARA.
  • Reviews, analyzes and investigates safety incidents.
  • Prepares scorecard and shift performance reports and develop action items as needed.
  • Performs weekly safety audits.
  • Supports ISO compliance and audits.
  • Schedule maintenance on assigned packing and warehouse equipment.
  • Provide assistance to other team members to resolve issues and realize improvement
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • Bachelors degree, in Packaging Science or similar Engineering discipline- required 
  • 0-5 years of experience 
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to provide off-hour support as needed.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with polymer film roll packaging is a plus.
  • Distribution and protective packaging experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with technical personnel and operators.
  • Efficient at data analysis; Statistical approach to problem solving.
  • Lean/Six-Sigma experience is a plus

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
  • The salary range for this position is $70,000- $98,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
