- Responsible for ongoing proactive quality support, including performing trend analyses of quality losses for assigned areas and products and using this data to lead focused improvement projects/teams for continual quality improvement.
- Managing product quality claims for assigned customers. Includes completing and documenting investigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions and reporting back to customer.
- Promote enhanced customer relationships by proactively working with customers including routine quality reviews, routine customer visits, etc.
- Complete Quality related customer questionnaires and audits.
- Provide hands on investigation and real-time troubleshooting of quality defects.
- Provide daily quality support for assigned areas and customers including the management of non-conforming product.
- Provide and report monthly quality metrics for assigned manufacturing line.
- Support knowledge and skill development of operating personnel, especially as it relates to quality culture, knowledge, and awareness.
- Provide quality related trial support for new products and customer qualifications.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the quality management system through ISO 9000 standards and conducting audits of the systems.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Quality Director.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering- required
- 2-5 years of relevent experience
- Excellent interaction and communication skills to interact proactively and positively with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to work and learn in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of and experience in quality assurance and testing.
- Working knowledge of computer applications – Microsoft office, Quality analysis software.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and problem-solving techniques including root cause analysis.
- Travel to customers and flexible schedule to support manufacturing line operation is necessary.
- The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
