If you are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental science, or other closely related degree and want to work in an exciting and collaborative environment, we want you to join our team.
We are seeking an intern in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) group who will work with multiple EHS professionals on a variety of projects.
- Support and assist with the development of a sustainable high-performing safety and environmental excellence culture via the implementation of corporate programs and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of the EHS performance for the operations
- Support and partake in the sites EHS committees.
- Assist in the incident investigation process.
- Ensure that all EHS requirements are met through management of change reviews.
- Create safety reports and training materials.
- Schedule and assist in industrial hygiene activities.
- Assist Operations with EHS recordkeeping and data management.
- Maintain facility SDS and EHS management databases.
- Assist site in the development of Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s).
- Monitor Contractor Safety program and compliance.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections of facility to detect existing or potential accident or health hazards and determination follow up measures.
- Develop a working knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.

- Provide weekly updates
- Communicate effectively by phone and email
- Participate in relevant meetings
- Seek guidance from subject matter experts

- In progress of a bachelor’s degree in industrial safety / environmental science or related field is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to write reports and procedures.
- Effective project management skills: self-motivated, organized, team oriented, timely, excellent recordkeeping and documentation skills.
- The salary range for this position starts at $18.50. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
