Job Purpose

Drive Mitsubishi Chemical Group’s (MCG) expansion in the Construction, Heavy Equipment, and Agriculture Equipment markets by strengthening brand preference, securing key specifications, and capturing new business opportunities for MCG and our channel partners across all business lines.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic sales plan within the NA Commercial Team to expand market penetration of stock shapes and custom-cast Nylon PA6 solutions for CHE applications.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers within OEMs, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to create growth opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership on plastics (stock shapes), applications, and industry-specific needs at OEMs and key distributors/fabricators.
  • Drive growth in custom-cast Nylon PA6, focusing on uncovering new applications within the CHE sector.
  • Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with customers, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor for material selection and application development at both OEMs and distributors/fabricators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and manufacturing, to deliver tailored solutions that meet the evolving demands of the CHE industry.
  • Lead and mentor both customers and internal teams by sharing your technical expertise, fostering a deep understanding of materials and applications.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes to strategically position the business for sustained growth.
  • Travel up to 50% to meet with customers, attend industry events, and build lasting business relationships.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • 10+ years of proven sales and business development experience in the Construction and Heavy Equipment (CHE) industry.
  • Knowledge of plastics stock shapes, their applications, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Experience or familiarity with custom-cast Nylon PA6 solutions.
  • A strong network of contacts within OEMs, suppliers, and key industry figures.
  • Deep technical understanding of performance plastics and their applications in the CHE sector.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, present, and build relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive independently while driving collective success within a team-oriented environment.
  • A passion for mentorship and leadership, inspiring growth in others' technical understanding and application expertise.
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
  • The salary range for this position is $80,100 -$100,010. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
