Job Purpose

Continuing to promote KAITEKI values creating and maintaining a positive work environment that is conducive to a stable, growing, and continually improving workforce. Ensure a safe workplace, efficient production processes, minimization of downtime, as well as a clean and orderly production area. This position is responsible for overseeing all Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Management functions. Specifically, this includes coordinating all outgoing material, equipment, and small package shipments, processing all incoming material and small package receipts, maintaining accurate and properly stored material inventories and supervising the Shipping & Receiving staff. Ensure a safe workplace as well as a clean and orderly production area.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Meet expected delivery requirements for timing & costs.
  • Coordinates with freight carriers the logistics of domestic and international shipments and receipts, monitors freight costs for cost effective options and communicates daily with Buyers and Sales on delivery status & freight costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and proper storage conditions for product.
  • Assist Cycle Count Coordinator with resolution of discrepancies.
  • Supervise receiving tasks for accuracy and resolve receiving exceptions.
  • Experience with customer portals for shipping functions.
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Supervise packaging of clean parts in appropriate packaging per specifications and to ensure safety in transit.
  • Supervise company finished goods inventory by organizing, cleaning, packaging, labeling, and storing items.
  • Supervise inventory movement transactions such as material issued to jobs, move tickets, entering parts into inventory, and cycle counts.
  • Ensure safe movement of materials throughout the facility.
  • Coordinate the purchase & stocking of all product packaging, supplies, including pallets, crate construction materials, banding, bags and small containers.
  • Ensure safe shipping & receiving environment and material handling by monitoring the environment for at risk situations, correcting unsafe situations and leading initiatives that emphasize behavior-based safety.
  • Overall cleanliness & conformance to Housekeeping / 6S expectations for Shipping Receiving, material storage and loading dock.
  • Identify training opportunities and train/develop Shipping & Receiving team to optimize department effectiveness.
  • Maintain driver and daily equipment inspection records.
  • Maintain PM schedules for shipping department equipment including forklifts, Modula storage system, delivery vehicle.
  • Coordinate scrap and recycle pick-ups.
  • Complete any other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once.
  • Detail oriented and the ability to read paperwork and specifications.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including scales, forklift, pallet jack
  • This position requires the physical demands listed below:
  • Regularly stand, walk, and handle objects, tools, and controls.
  • Regularly reach with arms, stoop, kneel and crouch.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience working in ERP system.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must want to be part of team and willing to work with coworkers to resolve issues.  
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
  • The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $76,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
