Job Purpose

Responsible for preparing and organizing extrusion setup packages for the extrusion department, ensuring all necessary tooling is ready for production. This includes maintaining a high level of readiness and organization to ensure seamless production workflow.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Perform tooling maintenance tasks, including disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of extrusion tooling as assigned.
  • Maintain, clean and repair Con-Air and Matsui Dryers ensuring proper operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure consumable supplies, such as thermocouples, heaters, hoses, and hardware, are in good working order and properly maintained.
  • Prepare and complete extrusion job checklists to ensure accurate setup and production.
  • Communicate any tooling issues or concerns to the Tool & Die Building Lead or Manufacturing Supervisor immediately.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of cold zones for coating when Teflon wear is detected.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety standards.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks on support equipment, including the Xaloy die cleaner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Safely operate equipment, including forklifts and hand-powered trucks, as required.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols, including LOCK OUT TAG OUT procedures, and all plant safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that all products manufactured meet the highest quality and acceptability standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.

  • High School Diploma
  • Mechanical experience
  • Ability to work with hand tools.

  • The salary range for this position is $22 - $24. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
