Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites (MCCFC) is composed of several companies, but at its core there are two. In April 2013, two California Companies, Grafil, a carbon fiber manufacturer in Sacramento and Newport Adhesives and Composites, a prepreg manufacturer in Irvine, were merged to create Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites (MRCFAC); then in 2017, we re-branded to MCCFC. The Equipment Reliability Planner is responsible for ensuring Preventative Predictive Practices are established and followed, as well as all aspects of planning Preventative Predictive maintenance procedures for production equipment at two facilities, located in Sacramento, California and Evanston, Wyoming.
Setting up and maintaining any preventive maintenance work orders established in the Company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including job plans, frequency of work, crafts, man-hours, and parts/tools required;
Use Mpluse and equivalent software for Sacramento and Evanston facilities for maintenance inventory and Work Order scheduling.
Managing and maintaining the workflow process (work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing);
Reviewing all new work requests entered in the CMMS for applicability, correctness, and clarity;
Entering all employees, schedules, and exceptions in the CMMS;
Cleaning up, evaluating, and managing the backlog;
Capturing and recording necessary equipment and material history;
Touring the plants to interact with production, quality, safety, and maintenance to help drive cultural change and to ensure appropriate work is being performed effectively;
Reviewing previous work orders to check for follow-up work and to ensure work orders are correctly closed out;
Following the scheduling of EOR tasks, prioritizing tasks and resources to achieve preventative predictive maintenance;
Leading the “Post-EOR” and “What Went Right/What Went Wrong” meetings, with a focus on equipment efficiency and reliability;
Working with production, maintenance, engineering, and technical personnel in preparing a Gantt chart for all EOR activities, to include production tasks to prepare the line for the next run, clean up, PM’s, and projects of electrical and mechanical personnel;
Participating in meetings;
Conducting time studies to improve efficiency and reliability of all equipment;
Auditing materials management process with regularly scheduled cycle counts;
Supporting management with data to implement corrective actions as discovered; and
Working with Maintenance procurement and Purchasing team to reduce costs and improve parts quality.

Use manufactures recommendation and other sources to determine appropriate schedule/frequency for PM
Apply this knowledge to similar equipment
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent maintenance planning experience.
Experience: 5 or more years of maintenance experience in a continuously operating (24/7) manufacturing environment. Electrical and mechanical knowledge is a must. Specialized knowledge/skills/abilities for performance of job: 3+ years’ experience using Word, Excel, and Power Point, etc.
