Job Purpose

This Product Manager,  Thermoplastic Composite Materials opportunity exists to manage new and existing projects that will maximize capacity utilization in our plants while achieving profitable results that meet our share holders expectations. The position is focused on business development for auto and non-auto customers (OEM & Tier 1).

Principal Accountabilities
  • Compliance with safety requirements
  • Acquisition of new Thermoplastic Composite Material (Glass Fiber based) projects
  • Support and lead the execution of technical & sales meeting as well as trials
  • Maintaining existing profitable business
  • Negotiation of new orders/contracts with current and new customers
  • Support plant quality at customers as needed
  • Work within cross functional international teams for project development (APQP, MOC, etc.)
  • Support sales forecasting for annual budgets
  • Training per corporate guidelines
Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Work Related Experience

The incumbent must have:

  • Tier 1/OEM Automotive sales/project management experience
  • >7 yrs business development or Project management experience
  • Plastics and composites manufacturing process understanding


Work related Knowledge and Technical Skills

The incumbent should have the following knowledge and technical skills:

  • Confident demeanor and proven leadership skills
  • Analytical, structured thinking skills, goal and solution oriented
  • Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of thermoplastic composite materials
  • Knowledge of computers (Microsoft office, etc.)
  • Ability to work in international cross-functional teams and communicate/cooperate effectively
