Job Purpose

The Quality Technician is responsible for testing of raw materials and the finished product and reporting on various physical properties such as hardness, density, and tensile strength. Supports testing in conjunction with the Research and Development department on new product development. Responsible for the Document Control area. The Document Control area supports all aspects of Quality Procedures and Records, including their creation, use and archiving, at the Wilmington facility.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Accurately record test results by transferring data from written form into a computer form
  • Identifies results of testing and proposes nonconformance and implementation of CAPA
  • Responsible to ensure all product certifications are completed accurately and thoroughly prior to shipment of material
  • Responsible for Document Control, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Quality, Safety and Training Documents
  • Responsible for the equipment calibration and preventative maintenance activities
  • Responsible to maintain the cleanliness of all laboratory areas
  • Provide support to the plant’s ISO auditing process


Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Understand SOP’s and documentation requirements to meet ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Understand and perform testing methodology to meet ISO 13485 requirements
  • Prefer 3-5 years of experience in the medical device market
