Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for the development, configuration, integration, implementation, maintenance, as well as complex trouble shooting, access security, upload of data, end user training, data integrity and interface management.  Works with key stakeholders to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities in Workday. This role owns the planning, maintenance, improvement, execution, testing, training of SME(subject matter experts) and documentation of solutions in Workday.

Principal Accountabilities
  • System development including HRIS implementation methodologies specific to Workday. Capture and thoroughly document requirements from the business. Partner with the business on the best long-term solution for process and data opportunities.  Recognize areas of opportunities and provide recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Understand Workday’s business process framework to provide recommended solutions and evaluate for possible enhancements. Understand Workday’s security model to create, update and maintain security roles. Mentor, learn, and challenge current and proposed solutions.
  • Write, execute, and document positive and negative unit testing and create thorough test plans, and ensure testing activities are in the proper sequence. Manage testing efforts, through coordination, defect management, and successful resolution.
  • Create simple and effective user guides and training materials and conduct user trainings. Monitor team activities, questions, and challenges to identify trends and work with key stakeholders on documentation, clarification and/or communications. Work with team to continuously improve solutions processes, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting support, using defined standards, and ensure complete accuracy. Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of business-related system reports and dashboards to support business needs. Assist with data integrity efforts, audit documentation, and reporting.
  • Monitor Workday community to stay abreast of best practices, new features, service releases, and issue updates to the team for consideration.
  • Build relationships with key HR Business Partners, providing backup support for Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding, LMS, and related reporting. Create report guides for the HR Business Partners with report descriptions and clean up duplicate, inactive data.
  • Gain solid understanding of the current Workday environment for HCM and lead HCM efforts on projects to consolidate platform configuration and security.
  • Lead, update and manage Workday’s enhancements from new releases, including enabling relevant desired new features and testing as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience and knowledge of Workday Application, with a focus on HCM.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience with complex Workday Reporting and Dashboards.
  • Experience with Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) or similar module in other HR ERPs.
  • Preferred Experience Workday Pro Certification for HCM. Trained in Advanced Security and Advanced Composite Reporting a plus.
  • Implementation experience related to gathering requirements and testing integrations.
  • Experience with Workday reporting tools and advanced report types.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently when solving problems and creating solutions. Network or research solutions and best practices, when necessary, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to understand complex processes and translate and implement them into streamlined solutions.
  • Ability to develop multiple options for requirements/issues along with pros/cons and resource impact.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines and to develop and maintain reporting standards.
  • Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills – must be a problem solver.
Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $82,400- $123,600. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
