MSI Technology, L.L.C.: Established in 1997, MSI Technology, L.L.C. (MSIT) is an independent company from Soarus and NGUS (see below) and is privately held and headquartered in Arlington Heights, IL. MSIT specializes in the sales, marketing, and development of specialty
polymers, which includes extrudable adhesives, peelable sealant resins, and other non-commodity resins. The Company offers synergistic products to those offered by Soarus with a product line consisting of Plexar (tie-layer adhesives), SPS peelable sealants, and SpeciPurge purging
resins to markets all over the world. Together, Soarus and MSI Technology supply products to the industry which go hand-and-hand, resulting in being able to offer multifaceted product solutions to our customers.

Job Purpose

Will work alongside other team members to learn Company Sales & Marketing requirements by completing rotations in various office functions and departments to include Research & Development, Customer Service, Business, and Sales, to gain a foundation for promoting Company products in the marketplace.

SAFETY & HEALTH: Adheres to company safety, health, and security best practices, policies, and procedures to fulfill work objectives/responsibilities. Partner with management to direct safety initiatives to ensure the organization maintains compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

COMPLIANCE: Responsible for ensuring ethical conduct and compliance with federal, state, local, and parent company regulatory requirements.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Work closely with business leaders to learn sales processes by completing the Sales Training Program, required projects, and assigned tasks.
  • Observes sales process by occasionally traveling with sales representatives; attending trade shows; industry seminars, and attending customer sales meetings and service calls.
  • Practices business sales process by calling on existing customers to maintain business relationships and cold-calling on new businesses to establish relationships and determine new sales opportunities.
  • Learns the essential customer service administrative requirements to ensure quality and timely customer service follow-up, understanding of QuickBooks system overview, overview of customer specifics and pricing requirements, rebates, credit memos, and export administrative requirements.5) Partners with Sales and Customer Services teams to update technical and product information.
  • Promotes the Soarus culture and positive business ethics through ongoing business relationships and activities.
  • Analyzes sales and market data; summarizes and reports on business and market trends.
  • Provides feedback regarding product issues and development to enhance sales profitability.
  • Updates sales and business job knowledge by participating in educational and self-development improvement opportunities; reading sales and marketing publications; maintaining professional connections and networks; participating in sales and marketing networks.
  • Participates in sales forecasting and planning.
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations and closes sales.
  • Liaise with the customer service team and suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university., Required
  • One to three years of technical and sales experience and/or training., Required
