Mitsubishi Chemical Methacrylates operates as the Americas Division of Mitsubishi Chemicals’ acrylic monomer business, one of ten business domains crossing a diverse portfolio of businesses within the company.  As the global leader, we manufacture and supply acrylic monomers that serve a broad base of downstream applications ranging from architectural and automotive coatings, to adhesives, to various acrylic sheet applications and specialty moldings.  Our products have many applications and are found in many popular name brands of paints, adhesives, bath and spa products, and beyond.

Mitsubishi Chemical Methacrylates Division is seeking a Training Coordinator based in Memphis, TN to join a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement and driving sustainable business results.  The successful candidate will be for the coordination of all Mitsubishi Chemical Methacrylates Division & MCIS employee development initiatives and serves as the administrator of the Learning Management System (Mitsubishi Chemical University) to track employee training participation and progress. Under the strategic guidance of the Senior Manager of Talent Management, this position will be responsible for the assignment & tracking of all training courses. In addition, this position will partner with the Talent Development Specialist to assist and provide support with instructor-led training coordination, scheduling, registration, training logistics, etc. Assists with other administrative tasks associated with training programs. This position will also coordinate all technical training, product training, and compliance-related training; as well as coordinates and track participation in any outside vendor-led training activities. May coordinate or administer assessments, surveys, and other specialized training or development activities for employees. The Training Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining accurate training records for all employees, and compiling reports and statistics. Come be a part of this dynamic team!!

What You Will Do...

  • Serve as single point of contact for the Mitsubishi Chemical University (MCU) and coordinate with the Regional team and LMS vendor as needed.
  • Create and manage curriculum assignments for new hires and tenured employees.
  • Research and resolve LMS learner and administrator issues
  • Partner with the Talent Development Specialist to build and maintain technical and operational training requirements for the sites (training guides, qualification/requalification tracking, etc.)
  • Determine and arrange requirements for training events and activities such as booking facilities, lodging, and catering.
  • Maintain curriculum database (learning paths, course descriptions, third-party content) and training records.
  • Drive training compliance activities and validation processes for all sites in the LMS
  • Manage and support all new hire training processes (training assignments, tracking, scheduling, etc.)
  • Schedule, coordinate, track and maintain training records & reports for all employees.
  • Publish and manage training schedule, attendance, and updates with the Talent Development Specialists.
  • Organize and develop training manuals and reference libraries.
  • Prepare and administer evaluations such as tests and surveys for training programs.


What You Will Have...

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline preferred or equivalent of experience in training & development
  • Minimum of 2 years of training administration and coordination experience
  • Demonstrated consistency with processes and daily tasks
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing instructional design methods are a plus.
  • Experience of documenting technical and operational training requirements
  • Experience with various LMS or advanced knowledge of LMS software systems, inclusive of setup, configuration, course management, troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborative and strong ability to connect and influence multiple leadership levels
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both informally and formally
  • Critical thinker and problem solver with strong project management skills
  • Strong customer service-based approach to work and relationship building skills
